New entries for C20, C21 5.12.07 Children in the C21 added, featuring an advertisement for orthotics for children. 5.4.07 Article on the Triumph brand added. 4.4.07 Children in the C17 added, featuring two paintings of the extraordinary dress worn by the Infanta Margarita of Spain when she was 5 and 11. 11.1.07 templates completely revised, page separated into header, working area, and footer, with separate styles for each area. Many minor improvements and additions have been made in the last six months. 5.4.06 'Celebrities' added as new main heading. Pages on Madonna and Kylie Minogue moved here from fashion. New page on the Duchess of Windsor. Layout of many pages modified so that they display correctly in narrow windows. 14.3.06 Article on Berlei added. Article on Playtex added, articles on Hickory and Charnaux moved here and expanded. 25.1.06 Section on cartoons added. 14.8.05 Article on luxury fashion illustrator Gruau added to Advertising. 9.8.05 section on Liberty bodices in 20th century children's corsetry expanded, note about a geriatric liberty bodice added. 11.5.05 Page on Bras completed. Definitions of other garments updated. 16.4.05 Article on Kylie Minogue's costumes. Also work in progress on a number of other sections. 9.3.05 Sections on children's corsetry revised, also definitions of corsets, corselettes and girdles. 6.3.05. Advertising updated, Fashion, History and Miscellanea sections added. 10.2.05. Working on 'Definitions' under 'Corsetry'. 4.2.05. All advertisements moved to new section. 2.2.05. The site is being actively developed. New pages are being written, and the existing pages are being organised into a more coherent whole. The first version of this web site was uploaded late in January, 2005. It replaces an earlier version of the web site, on another server, dating from early in 2004. |
