Triumph 'Ideal' corselette, with crotch insert

This page shows some of my underwear. Nearly all of this has been adapted to fit me. After a long period of experimentation I have arrived at a standard costume which is reasonably comfortable, and which I have worn most of the time for the past few years. It consists of a Playtex ‘Second Skin’ LLPG, with an opening for the fittings and a pocket attached with 11mm snap fasteners, a homemade singlet of nylon lycra, and a Triumph Ideal corselette, with the back seam taken in and the cups replaced with material from a Triumph Poesie OBG. In winter I wear this with stockings (usually Kaiser ‘Intensive Support Stockings’), while in summer I sometimes leave off the stockings and LLPG, and replace the latter with a crotch piece and pocket attached with snap fasteners.

I wear the same costume at night, but wear a Levant ‘Bodyline Turtleneck Top’, made from microfibre and Lycra, under the corselette, to keep my shoulders warm.

The only time I wear normal underwear is when we are on an extended trip and washing would be problematical.

This corselette is not as firm as the Triumph Ideal, but it is nice to wear. It is made from two Triumph Poesie OBGs, with the waistbands removed and joined together at the waists, the back seams taken in, and with shoulder straps made with material from a third girdle. Five girdles will make two corselettes.
