With the increasing sexualisation of modern children I expect that preteen bras are as popular as ever, but I had imagined that the days of small children being put into any other form of shapewear, let alone firm corsets, were long gone, and I was very surprised to find these advertisements for medical corsets on the German Figesta Miederfabrik web site.  Indications for these garments include ‘Kindliche Wirbelsauleninstabilitat, insbesonder im Lumbarreich, …’.  No, I don't know what this means either.

I do find it rather hard to believe that a child with a condition which required it to wear a garment like this would be as cheerful as the models shown.
