Triumph has long been a major manufacturer on the continent, and I think they became significant in Australia in the seventies. I believe that their headquarters was in Austria. They are now one of the few remaining firms making traditional foundation garments, although the firmer models appear only to be available in Europe, and even there the range is shrinking, and the firmer models are becoming harder to find.
IdealThe ‘Ideal’ style is been the top of the Triumph range, and is still available in Europe. Until about three years ago it included the long leg AIO on the right (at a VERY high price!), but this appears to have been discontinued.
Poesie‘Poesie’ is a lighter and less expensive brand than ‘Ideal’ and is more readily available. The open bottomed AIO on the left is also from Sabine's web site. The garment on the right is interesting because it has a hook and right closure in the crotch, rather than the long zip now favoured. I found out on the Web somewhere, and don't know anything about it, apart from that was labeled triumph, but it is very similar to the all in one on the left, so I suspect it is also a Poesie. It appears to be identical to a garment recently advertised on the Bay, and advertised as 'Passfit'. This is a house brand of the German 'Neckermann' store, and I suspect that it is a range of rebadged Triumph garments.
DoreenThe Doreen and Poesie lines appear to be very similar, and I don't know what the differences are. For some reason Spain appears to be the last bastion of the long leg AIO style, and I bought the 'Doreen' LLAIO below in Madrid in 2007. this is similar to the Poesie garment above, but the lace front panel has been replaced with satin Lycra.
