This ad originally appeared in the Australian Women's Weekly in September 9th, 1964, but was very badly reproduced in a general magazine, in a retrospective article. Unfortunately I only have a scan of the poor reproduction.

In the early seventies Berlei ran several ads like the second example, apparently designed for the"rent a crowd" set. I imagine they went over like a lead balloon.
[The Sarong girdle was originally designed by the Sarong Corporation in the States. In Australia they were manufactured under license by Berlei, while in Europe they were manufactured by Playtex.]
