Advertising 101Modesty in Ads: Utility slip |
In the 1920's it was apparently not done to photograph girdles without something under them. In Michael Colmer's book "Whalebone to See-Through", this particular slip appears in seven photos, on at least two models. It appears to have slits in it, so the model could fasten her suspenders through it.
