Madonna at the 48th Grammy Awards

Madonna has done as much as anyone to revive the corset as a fashionable garment. Here she is performing at the opening of the 48th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles in February 2006. She appears to be wearing a pantsliner, a one-piece bathing suit and a rather strange corset.

It is not clear why there is a chain attached to a buckle on one of the stiffeners of the corset. Perhaps it is to tie her to a hitching post between performances!
